本格的なツイードにも使われる英国羊毛の8番手糸を10本撚った糸を使って作られた本格的なプルオーバータイプのアランニット。
日本国内で全て手編みで製作され、一着編むのに2週間かかる大作。
現地のフィッシャーマンズニットは寒風に耐えられる様に自然な脂を残したままの毛糸で編まれ、柄は漁師たちの母港がわかる様にそれぞれが違った柄で万が一水難にあって亡くなっても、その柄で身元がわかる様にと違った編み柄が考案されたそうです。
見頃の柄は大漁を意味する籠のデザインです。

本来の羊の毛が感じられる油分たっぷりの生地。
手編みでないと扱えない糸だと感じられます。
迫力のある立体的な編み地。
素人目にも凄みが伝わる迫力があります。

全体的にボリューミー、特にスリーブは太いです。
リブはしっかり締まりがあるのでメリハリがあり良いです。
立ち上がったネックが独特のかわいらしさ。
重さは1520gあります、重量で本物というのが分かりますね。
現代的な柔らかくて軽くてというベクトルとは全く異なり、誰しもが着やすいというものではありません。
しかし伝統なものづくりと現代の作り手の素晴らしさが感じられ、無二の魅力を持ったニットです。

サイズは46で、裄丈 約86㎝ 身幅 約54㎝ 裾幅 約54㎝ 着丈60㎝ です。
目立ったダメージや着用感もなく状態は良好です。
